Les performances live de cette cantatrice soprano sino-britanique sont d’une rare qualité et hallcuinantes... de par sa simple présence elle joue sur scène tout en chantant. Seaming est associée à divers projets de la sène des musiques actuelles en Angleterre tels que HOMELIFE (Ninja Tune), MR SCRUFF (Ninja Tune) ou encore TOOLSHED. Mais elle participe aussi au Forkbeard theater Compagny pour le "théatre de rue".
Seaming has contributed her unique operatic vocals to Homelife’s last few albums for Ninja Tune and has finally managed to piece together her first solo record - already attracting a mass of attention from a huddle of artists queuing up to work with her. The lead tracks on the record are both well engineered upbeat electronic numbers, but our money’s on the other two - ‘Dreaming’ is an absolutely gorgeous slice of dark cabaret and has Seaming’s voice billowing over haunting violin solos and dream-like percussion like mists forming over a robust mountain. I’m sure David Lynch would have a thing or two to say about this, Seaming manages to sound just how Julee Cruise never quite could - utterly out on her own and incredibly pleasurable to listen to. The second jazzier number, the Prom Mix of ‘Soda Slow’, is the other track to look out for, the murkiest experimental loungecore you’ll hear this year. One for fans of film soundtracks as well as followers of highly original vocal music, a massive recommendation.
